Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhasker, and Shikha Talsania are very close good childhood friends. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sumeet Vyas are going to get marries and the other four girls come together for their veere’s wedding. But the story take U-turn with lots of showsha and a lot of drama. The celebration brings out some of the most harsh truth about wedding, unspoken realities and what not.
The movie story revolves around four female friends who are dealing with life, love, marriage and heartbreak. But the real deal with Veere Di wedding is when these powerful female who make their own choice, stand by them and have the guts to actually live by it. They are fearless, bold, gutsy and speak their mind without any regret. They used to talk about sex before marriage, orgasm and sex toys. They even laugh while talking and analyse each other situation.
It’s refreshing to see a film present its women characters, in not just a progressive light, but also with umpteen flaws and cracks. It gives them the freedom to make mistakes and move on and that’s the beauty of it. These girls are unabashed using cuss words to express their angst or get high and happy to let their hair down. They don’t feel compelled to explain themselves or justify their actions, and that is one of the highlights of the film.
